American Airlines Flight 191 was a flight to Los Angeles International Airport, O'Hare International Airport in Chicago, Illinois. On May 25, 1979, a McDonnell Douglas DC-10-10 aircraft on the route crashed at about 15.04 CDT after taking off from O'Hare, with 271 passengers and crew on board who were all killed! , And two persons on the ground. In terms of all individuals killed, the flight 191 was the most deadly air crash incident on American soil until the four accidents deliberate the September 11, 2001. In terms of total number of people killed occupants, he remains the single most deadly plane crash on American soil to date (followed by American Airlines flight 587).
